I suppose it would be better to find an affair, then to find that your dad sold you up the river, or that he’s helping the person who frog marched you into a gladiatorial event, which was nearly a march into an execution, instead.
The dad thing did surprise me, but it was a nice surprise. Especially since the Gabe-connection was just as big a surprise to Daisy as it was to us.
what? i’d hit that.
assuming i had proper climbing gear and i didn’t fall in
but in all seriousness it took her like 20 seconds or so to notice veled- the ten foot neon dragon festooned with blaze orange plumage. she needs those glasses bad
In all this..I’m really kinda wondering just how Daisy and Jig’s families are connected, actually. In the early strips, Jig’s behaving like Daisy’s a sister, cousin, or similar closeness.
@vuilps well my sterling character has blue hair thanks to havie a grandmother vidianes light child in his family tree so i wouldn’t be surprised if jigsaw and daisy had a relative in common. then again my RL family tree makes my character family tree look tame if you over look the aliens and dead inside in it
@kemanorel and thebobmaster: It is publicly known that Daisy had two legs before going into custody. It is publicly assumed that Veled’s minions removed the leg as part of the torture process to get her to confess to the crimes listed.

It has been privately strongly implied that Daisy lost the leg trying to blindly teleport out of jail, resulting in her leg being embedded in the wall, forcing the amputation. This has not been covered in the comics.

I recall finding it…8 months back? but it took some digging, I think?, so you’ll have to 7 or 8 pages further, minimum. They were monochrome, and of a fair number – shouldn’t be hard to spot, rvrn scrolling quickly. The trick is that, while Jig laid out the situation, she did not strictly say that the event depicted was canon, so *shrug*. I’m not particularly clear what the series was for (or I’ve forgotten).
Huh. I could have sworn I saw something about Veled *burning* the leg off. Though as you say, it may be both–she had to burn it to sever it from where it was embedded in the wall.

I’ve just been on a big re-read of the series, and among picking up on some other things I remember that when Veled called Jigsaw in for their one-on-one talk, she said “If it makes you feel better about Daisy’s leg, she had already tried to escape.” so this does lend support towards the botched teleport being canon.
well a botched escape attempt doesn’t necessarily mean a botched teleport simply that she was caught before she got away. also in this area comic https://www.lastres0rt.com/2009/03/shock-shock-goose/ makes it seem like Veled removed the leg intentionally for a reason that failed
Wait WHAT?!?!!!?
see like i said family. still then whole please tell me your having an affair hurts my mind.
Oh..snap..*mind broke*
@nikolai he was probably dealing with Gabriel to get information about Veled (hence him being listed as a client)
Well if that’s the best situation Daisy can think about with positive thinking, then one could wonder what a bad situation would be with Daisy.
I like Veled’s face there. You can practically feel the resentment even before the call is connected.

Nice emoting, Jig’!

@The_Rippy_One Not to mention the person that, IIRC, took her leg in the first place…
Interesting how her hair curls in the back in the last panel. Interesting ‘do.

the scary thought if they were having an affair was what if they had children. would poor light child daisy have psudo messiah siblings?

Considering everything she’s ever gotten up to, I think you have to have a good sense of humor to be Daisy’s father. 🙂
@Vulpis: Supposedly, Daisy is Jigsaw’s godmother, though she might be a bit more considering she has the same tattoo as Jigsaw’s parents. 😮
o.O I do see the family resemblance.
so do i but just barely. sadly i was expecting her daisy son or one of jigsaw’s siblings
@Vulpis: I thought Daisy’s missing leg was implied to be the result of a teleportation accident? That annoying ‘landing in a solid object’ problem.
@kemanorel: It’s been said quite a bit earlier in the comic that Daisy lost the leg due to some…rough interrogation at Veled’s hands.
@thebobmaster: I think you’re both right. 😉

[The following information is going to be relayed in all caps]
WHERE DID YOU GET THIS INFORMATION I MUST KNOW
[That is all]
It was from the last res0rt tumblr.

Seems like a delightful sign of fruition when a comic’s canonicity is called into question. ^_^
