In some fiction (Bram Stroker’s Dracula for example), drinking the vampire’s blood with make you a vampire, either immediately or over time. I’m guessing it’s different in the universe of Last Res0rt, or that it would only affect Sterling if it wasn’t.
Wait, THEY’RE TRYING THAT TRICK!?!? THAT’S FREAKING DANGEROUS!!!!
Ken Cypher: drinking vampire blood is commonly accepted throughout history/other sources as being a method to temporarily increase one’s abilities including healing, survivability, strength, etc., sometimes to the point of outright mimicking vampire abilities. However, a major danger is the chance of being overwhelmed by it and going on a blood-thirsty rampage.
Of course, this is all based on what’s generally believed throughout several genres; I’m not sure how much of it fits into Last Res0rt, or if it’s something completely different.
I can understand Jigsaw ingesting blood but Daisy… that is disturbing.
According to various lore sources, a mortal ingesting vampire blood mimics said vampire’s abilities. The major risk is that if the mortal suffers a deadly injury, the mortal risks becoming one of the vampires.
If Jig has been drinking Daisy’s blood this whole time, she’s probably been accumulating and concentrating Daisy’s glitter in her own blood. Drinking some of Jig’s like that might be equivalent to getting field first aid.
Does this mean that Daisy’s going to get up and walk out of there? With her intestines hanging out?! 😯
@ MaveriKat Bwahahahaha!! That is so freakin’ cute. Loved it.
Brings back the good ol’ days of gaming with Vampire: the Masquerade [ (c) Whitewolf ] where “ghouls” or “retainers” were given the blood of their vampire “masters” (or best friends for my character, heh) to increase healing, lifespan, strength, and all that good stuff.
By the way, Daisy did say the “last” energy drink. Wonder how many more she has consumed…
So given that Daisy was fine with Jigsaw draining her in her sleep (gently) I guess they have a blood-sharing relationship. Further awkward unwanted homoeroticism for Jigsaw!
Sad thing is, I can’t help but think that they are somehow related, even if it’s not by blood per se. (Please pardon the pun.) Reference available upon request, or you can search the archives yourself.
So Brunhidden has the inside track, hmm? Care to give us a hint? Aside from the step sibling remark, I don’t have enough information to draw a conclusive argument.
Er… just what IS the health benefit of drinking vampire blood?

Still… DISGUSTING!!!

Love the comic, btw…am now hopelessly addicted.
We need to place a tap somewhere on Jiggy; that’s some good shit she’s pumping out.

You guessed it; they are, but I wont say how.

Thing is, I’d try an energy drink like that.
