@e as callous as it sounds, they’ve been in worse already just with the trials and episode one, not to mention everything else, I doubt a few blood spatters on their own will do much to slow them down.
From the sound of things, these cells could be used like Oubliette.
Though these cells also remind me of the tower cells in Silent Hill 4, especially because of that blood comment and it’s blood stains that help you determine if your making progress moving the cells in the game properly.
I hope for their sake, the next time the see the A.I. running things here, she isn’t wearing a pyramid head and lugging around a huge sword.
I don’t have much to say about this comic, other than what others have said (dark humor is great). I just want to thank Rachel for keeping this comic going for so long, and for being willing to take time to discuss the comic with her fans.
I don’t know if this is part of some “test” or what, but if they haven’t been noticed already, all of this CLACK-SHUNTing (supposedly all over the ship) is bound to do it. 😮
@Starcat5: Or maybe she’s pissed to finally see Jason again? :3
@Shad: That quote’s perfect, given the setting! xD
@Lavabat: Guess there are either a zillion pods, or Gabriel hardly ever uses them, eh?
@Sulucamas and Lavabat: It’s a very real possibility that there might be quite a bit of pods.
Remember, Vector space makes many things possible. Faster then light travel. Hammer space. Vector cuffs.
Of course it also makes the chance that some of these cells can become an Oubliette much more possible. Razil said that Gabriel put officers in there, he didn’t mention anything about letting them back out.
@Lavabat: A setup to get Patient Zero here to “accidentally” spend some time deprogramming in one of these pods? I really wish I had a clue at what Gabriel is after. 😕
@Josh.C: That’s a good point that Vector Space might be involved. I think making each of these pods an oubliette would be cool, if not a bit excessive. 😛
Now, would it more humane to let the Org officers rot in the pods, or to just toss them out the airlock?
that’s very close to what i was thinking. Rippy one. I was thinking about what was it Gab has been feeding the people on his ship? have you ever read Bio of a Space tyrant?
So, are the pods on conveyer tracks, like an upside down rollercoasters, only shuffling around like individual blocks on a Rubik cube? Or is vector space producing a magical effect like the interior of the “Luggage” from the Discworld series?
For such a serious point in the comic, Daisy’s reaction to the situation is hilarious.
okay i think they’re looking for Jason but the blood in the Pod doesn’t disturb them?

Watch your tongue, Doctor!
@nikolai60: Of course with how we’re learning things, one has to wonder if that’s some kids blood or a Star Org/Endless member?
@Josh.C: I like to think that “loud” swearing at the end was from “finding” a Star Org member.
Namely one who has long since flatlined.
what’s that quote again…? “insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”?
…the pods they have come across so far seem to be strangely empty…what are the chances of that?

Not going in there
i think that they are just opening the same Cell over and over again
@e_voyager Nope. They’re using the same *opening*, but which cell it links to changes each time.
@Vulpis kind of what i meant i just worded it badly

please don’t give me disturbing thoughts i have enough of my own
Oh, come on E, its not like he said that all the soldiers were kept together and forced into cannibalism…or something…

more interesting thought they are opening an “entrance” hatch when they need an “exit” hatch
