believe it or not the same thing what’s going on thru my mind when I read this period you just beat you to the punch. also the song is called believe it or not
To be completely technical, the name of the song is “Theme from The Greatest American Hero (Believe It or Not)”. At least, that’s the title it has on the Billboard Top 100 chart entry for 1981.
As for the actual comic…that is a strangely touching scene. Although Veled seems confused.
Somewhere Murphy just had a heart attack. That loud thud everyone heard was her hitting the ground from a combination shock/ecstasy at what she just heard.
@e_voyager: Depends on how many zealots that would climb over a mountain of their fallen comrades without loosing the resolve to die they could round up, but with suficient numbers, yes. (Was suposed to be a joke anyway.)
The more inteligent way to handle it would be a “accident”, like tampering with life support.
@demondblood i believe that is how they set her father up. but year fanaticism is life to groups like that. the endless believe that they don’t die that they are reborn in cycle until they achieve what ever goal was put before them so they have no fear of their bodies being destroyed. hence why Veled ripped the soul out of that one girl. but yeah i get the joke now.
@tom I remember Gohan and Goten saying that to an alternate universe Kakarott in Dragon Ball multiverse. still it has the best her emotional play here. And now I can imagine Luke saying “Vader , You are my father”
Well,in one regard, this is sweet – he didn’t immediately look to exploit her power and position. on the other hand, he did accept her only she expressed a political view that he shared. I’ll call this a neutral result.
The Greatest American Hero theme song is running through my head now.
White noise is so proud now.

Like father like daughter, apparently. Good for them. ^_^
You know, I almost feel sorry for the Endless and the Star Org. Almost. 🙂
The Endless and the Org are going to be pissed. “Commence Operation: Kill the traitorous Messiah”
Honestly now, lots of people have wanted to destroy Sciontology for a long time, did they really think that re-branding would change that?
@LavaBat: More like “Commence Operation: Die Trying”.
@demonblood powerful she may be but you through enough numbers at her and even Veled will go down.
honestly I’m surprised that no one made a is so cute but they’re bonding comment And now this does not count as said comment

I don’t see Murphy surviving this little piece of espionage. Unless Veled has a way to wipe someone’s memory.
Um… what’s up with White Noise’s nose in the last panel?

So adorable. Nothing brings family together like revenge. ;o;
Luke, you are my father… Nice that Daddy accepts his little girl. Even if she is now pretty much one of the most powerful individuals in the galaxy.

@the_rippy_one my guess is he didn’t accept her as his daughter until he was sure that she inherited more than just her mother’s looks.
That seems like an awfully tall order, even though as their Messiah she’d be the person to fill it. 😕
