Mummy and Daddy are back, yay! (now all we need is an update on the other siblings 😉 )
also, @e_voyager: One could call “Puzzle” a nickname of sorts, considering how all the known members of the Forte family, save for Meridian, are named after different kinds of puzzles (Jigsaw, Cypher, Sudoku, and Slider). Not to mention, in page 3 of the comic, Jiggy herself mentions that Cipher calls her “his puzzle”.
I sort of appreciate that, when surprised, she responded honestly. Wonder if they’ll do the “have you tried not being a monster” routine – My money is that they are her parents. pretty sure the fur patterns match, for one.
@The_Rippy_One: Or they could be people who are using illusions to appear that they are ‘Saw’s parents. Like when ‘Saw was disguised as Daisy when negotiating with Gabriel.
Jigsaw’s parents just *had* to show up when she was trying on her good dress, didn’t they? Now she won’t be able to throw down properly if they try to bring her back to Ariel.
Two thoughts at the moment, one not so appropriate (I thought Puzzle was a giraffe? ..wrong Puzzle), and the other a bit more so (Is this actually Jig, or is this the Talmi that was impersonating Daisy and set off the riot?)
@The_Rippy_One: I don’t think her “Not at the moment…” is referring to her vampiric state so much as the fact that their arrival has shocked the breath out of her–the way she said it implies that it’s a temporary state.
I don’t think we have any indication that vampires in this setting don’t at least go through the motions of breathing. Speaking normally, maintaining their covers, or simple retained reflexes could account for them breathing, even if they don’t technically need to.
good catch Satsumas i’d completely forgotten about the veridian groom. though i don’t exactly think that he was a good guy. maybe an anti hero of vigilante or something along those lines. perhaps he was tuxedo mask you scout areal?
@e_voyager: Considering we don’t know exactly what happened in the year of fear.
Considering the fall out between the old scouts and what we’ve seen of the Star org, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Groom and scouts were used as fall guys and girls to stabilize things and get a better image once they fell.
Did anyone else just here a Dun dun dun? also puzzle? a nickname?
Wait, WHAT!?!?!? *brain asplodes*
that’s probably Jack and maggie
It was bound to happen sooner or later… Jigsaw’s parents showing up.
Still it’s the conditions under how it’s happening. Who’s Jigsaw getting married too?

@Darkewulf (me!):
Sorry, I should use the proper terms, Eema and Abba (respectively).
Heh my first thought was parents as well but the title there’s the groom is throwing me off some
will he wear the mask when he gives her away?
Oh peachy…
Vurt da fuk!?
Mother and father discipline daughter in three, two, one… >:3

@The_Rippy_One: Don’t be so sure. They could be shapeshifters like Jason.

Seems like someone’s been a bad kitten…
@Shad: Is kitten the correct term for a young Talmi?
Ah, the age-old dilemma of confessing to your parents… that you’re secretly a vampire. 😛
@e_voyager: Pretty sure the title’s referring to Cypher’s alter ego.
@Brunhidden: He’d better! And the suit, too! xD
@The_Rippy_One: A nice touch that she responded honestly (defensively?) and in Hebrew without missing a beat.
Thanks for finding that page, Sul. I do think that nicely explains the title.

@Vulpis The fact that Jigsaw’s father calls her his “puzzle” was established during Jigsaw’s first interview with Vincent Vaeo.
Good show on the link, I forgot about his superhero name!
Also,I don’t think it’s so much her remembering to respond in the language, so much as slipping into her natural dialect.
