Well that further explains Daisy predicament and the strange stuff showing on some of the kids.
Though it makes things a little more complicated for Daisy. Someone else wants her dead and they have the means to do it through her Glimmer. That isn’t good considering how many people probably use the stuff.
addenum- interesting purple tanline on alice as well. but woot for the daisy / stark comment, her iron underwear probably does not allow flight and lasers though
True, but at least her Autie lenses have that holographic interface. I can totally see her having used an AI similar to JARVIS before she was arrested.
Heh. Amusing that Daisy has the same Panties of Holding on that Jason and Alice are sporting. Not sure what the line of sight is pointing to–a tattoo or something on Alice’s navel?
A thought, though. Corrupted glitter…this wouldn’t happen to be from the same big-a** pool of it that a certain scaly show-host dunked herself into, would it?
@Vulpis: even if it is, said scaly show-host had quite prompt access to medical care facilities with folks that know about surgery (and, possibly, more about glitter than Gabriel).
Daisy and the rest, however, have only had what Gabriel can provide. I can think of three options here:
1) he’s unable to remove the barnacles without causing harm;
2) he’s uninterested in removing them
a) because they’re counteracting something else – the Whimser, perhaps? Or they give the other folks a plausible reason for Weird Stuff happening;
b) because !!SCIENCE!!
c) he thinks they’re beneficial in some manner which may or may not be true
3) he wants the barnacles there
Now, it’s entirely possible that there’s a benign answer for the barnacles – perhaps Gabriel’s just not as good at hacking and using glitter as he *thinks* he is. Maybe he doesn’t realize the significance of the barnacles and is blaming the Whimser for them. But it’s still a little ominous that something so potentially dangerous is just sitting there.
Also, I suspect Daisy’s looking at a very large barnacle on Alice’s midriff.
@Anodyne: I’m tempted by 2b, but my guess is it’s 3. A dying Daisy would provide good leverage for “deprogramming” Jigsaw. “Renounce the Endless now, or your friend dies. Slowly.” 😡
I’m betting that’s a surgical scar on Alice. Djinn heal well, even if they aren’t Vampires.
But I am kinda confused. Alice’s tissues are basically dead, but she can alter them at the same time… also, there were no djinn (except halfbreed Jason), with their signature body marks, all normal djinn had zombie skin…
@Feral: I don’t think her skin is dead, but just biologically incompatible because of the changes it’s undergone, and thus “dead” to Daisy. Or maybe it really is not fully alive anymore, and the only thing that lets her keep it together (and change it) is her force of will (and magic)? 😕
Also, it seems like those signature body marks are (or aren’t) exclusive to halfbreeds, rather than being the norm for Djinn.
@ the blue dude. The nanobots have infect her id chip (which holds her personal data like id’s do) like a virus. form there if the corruption gets worse they can destroy her whole body trying to make it conform to some faulty data. like if the corrupted id decides that her body should be like jigsaws because she drank jigsaws blood and therefore had in in her system before the surgery it would try and break down the infected (human ) tissue and rebuild it into healthy(talmi) tissue killing her in the process with out meaning to. the same would happen if it believes her body should be likes Alice’s(because of some surgery – tissues donation?) it’s a grey goo thing. but don’t quote me on this.
This would fall into the category of a good time to panic….

does alice need ‘the talk’?

Looking a little Stark there, Daisy.

…only it was probably more Chippendale-like.
So Dead Inside don’t make for good organ/tissue donors? Good to know… >>
Now was the use of corrupted glitter necessary, or just sloppy?
“Evil” genius billionaire playgirl philanthropist with a secret, heroic identity? Darkewulf’s right, Daisy IS Tony Stark! 😀

Hmmm I wonder how bad barnikels can be. For I find them pritty.
corrupted glitter….now why am I thinking GREY GOO SCENARIO?

Woah, I made it to today’s strip… now, lets go make an avatar 🙂

Does every planet have and id chip system? does person have and id chip embedded in them?
I, uhh… >.> <.<
I honestly don't know what's going on here.

How do her live functions link with her ID chip?
So, instead of tanlines, Alice has lifelines …. Um, wait……
